Prawns Dangar is a delightful dish that hails from the coastal regions of India

Whether enjoyed at a festive gathering or a cozy family meal, Prawns Dangar is sure to impress seafood lovers with its vibrant taste.





Recipe

Region/ cuisine: Goan

Ingredients:

  • 2 medium onions, finely chopped

  • 1 green chili, finely chopped

  • 1 tablespoon fresh coriander leaves, chopped

  • 3 tablespoons freshly grated coconut

  • 150 grams small prawns, cleaned and deveined

  • Salt, to taste

  • ½ teaspoon turmeric powder

  • ½ teaspoon roasted coriander powder

  • 1 tablespoon tamarind paste

  • 2 tablespoons oil (coconut oil works great)


Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Mixture:

    • In a bowl, combine the chopped onions, green chili, coriander leaves, grated coconut, prawns, salt, turmeric powder, roasted coriander powder, and tamarind paste. Mix everything thoroughly.

  2. Shape the Patties:

    • Form the mixture into patties of your desired shape and size.

  3. Cook the Patties:

    • Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, place the patties in the pan.

    • Cook on both sides until golden brown and cooked through. Add more oil if necessary to ensure even cooking.

  4. Serve:

    • Once cooked, remove from the pan and serve hot.
